Donny Osmond....In the flesh

We had a wonderful opportunity to get to attend a dinner where Donny Osmond and Craig Jessop spoke and my talented mom played the piano with the choir. The food was fabulous and Dad did a heck of an amazing job getting the Marriot all finished for this event. It couldn't have turned out better. Except my camera decided not to work very good because either I don't know the technical stuff with it or my son messed with it a bit too much. He finally broke it somehow so if you don't see pictures for a while, it's because I'm in the market to buy a new camera. Any recommendations would be great. But back on subject, we got to see Donny and his band in concert later that evening and he can move very well for his age. The best part was watching 3 larger women on the front row (we were on the 3rd) cheering like crazy to get Donny's attention. Apparently they travel everywhere he goes. Kinda creepy to get that crazy about a celebrity. But Donny was the most kind, humble and funny guy. None of the show business has gone to his head which was a relief to see.

Easter Time!

I am still trying to catch up on my blogging, so here is easter. A good old time in Nampa, ID. We had a big family BBQ at my in-laws and had a blast living a more farm-like day. We raced around in a big circle on 4 wheelers, motorcycles and a few riding mowers. The kids loved it and it makes you want to live out in the country after being there.

Day of Fun at the Axtell Plantation

We had a day out with 'Thomas the Train' in Heber City. So beautiful out there. We had a lot of fun. Lili was so good with the ponies and brushed each of their hair and fed them alfalfa. They had a baby camel too. And Andrew is fascinating to watch how observant he is and loves playing with planes, trains and automobiles.

This was one of those moments were I realized 'my little girl is growing up.' Lili is so special and sweet. She has learned a lot from Pre-school thanks to her teacher Mrs. Balls. At the ceremony, they were so adorable and Lili lead her class in the pledge of allegiance. She can count to 112 and says all her letters and sounds and is starting to recognize words from books we read together. She is so artistic too. I need to take a pic of one of her paintings (Andrew accidentally broke the camera). I can't believe she'll really be going to kindergarten this year! Year round I might add, but a really great school.

Basement is Finished!

It has been a REALLY long time to update our blog. I apologize. And as usual I seem to have a good excuse for things like this and it was focusing on finishing our basement. We love how it has turned out. And Jake graduated in NDT from SLCC the same day! Jake also earned a lot about surround sound and installed it himself. It sounds amazing. Thank you to our contractor Shane German and many others who made it happen.
